Crochet a String of Hearts...........

A friend sent me this link to crochet a string of hearts. She thought it might be used for a crazy quilting seam treatment. The video is in Russian but I think it's easy enough to follow.

There is supposedly an English version on their website but I wasn't able to find it but did find some other interesting things:)

Crochet Inspiration......

I was trying to find the source of an idea I saw on Pinterest and ended up at a Tumblr group called The Crochet Collection.

"A small collection of crocheted things ranging from delightfully beautiful to ridiculously wonky."
It might interest anyone who likes to crochet..........tons of pictures from various contributors in a very nice presentation.

Enjoy:)

FYI: If anyone out there was a follower of Judy's Fabrications you will have noticed that her blog has disappeared. Not to worry...she has started a new one that you can find here......jfabrications

Monthly Make for February....

I joined in the Monthly Make Challenge hosted by The Felt Fairy but I can't reveal my February makes yet as they are part of two challenges that I am participating in. I can show them later in the month....after March 20th.

I just wanted to put it down on record that I did do something:)

I took a picture this morning through the back window of the light cover of snow we got last night....looks pretty I guess:(  The building at the left of the picture is our garage and there is more garden behind it.....with more snow. The thing in the middle on the trellis is a trumpet vine that goes crazy every year but it's quite beautiful and attracts hummingbirds and Baltimore Oriels....sigh.......where or where is spring?

I'm also participating in WOYWW and WIP.....if you want to read about it please go visit my other blog....A Cloth Doll Maker's Diary.........

And finally...here are some screen shots from a video taken by my son at Thanksgiving last October of my little granddaughter (she was 15 months at the time) and her friend George. George is a  bulldog that belongs to her other granny. A lot of people....men mostly.... are intimidated by George as he is rather large......if they only knew what a big smushy face he is:)

kiss:)

This last picture is for Famfa....look at this crochet purse!!!!!!  Famfa and I both received round purse handles from The Felt Fairy...I have been pondering what to do with them:)

Kaffe Fusion Quilt....

As I was wandering around in Pinterest I found the most amazing quilt on a site called Sewing Daisies. It is called a Kaffe Fusion Quilt...a) because it uses Kaffe fabrics and b) because there is crocheting involved.

Here is a picture of the finished quilt from the site......

I think it's lovely and even though I don't quilt and am not that great at crochet....I think I might be able to do this....a great summer project for when I'm sitting on the deck on a nice warm day:)

There are directions that you can find here.

Crochet .........

Everyone has probably seen these.....
I'm seeing them on lots of blogs. Everyone seems to be crocheting these Japanese Flowers. So,  I thought I'd look for directions.

I found this site yesterday called Crochet With Raymond .......a very lovely colourful site.........and the owner gave a link to a site called By Elizabeth Cat that has pictures on how to crochet these Japanese Flowers.

Perfect for someone like me. I'm useless when it comes to reading directions. Give me pictures every time:)

Take care.
