I'm still here......

Not much has been happening sewing wise. I've been making masks because people will lose them.

I have spent hours chasing down DNA matches so I can figure out my family tree. I think I'm done with that for awhile except I have a second cousin who is my research mate who keeps on emailing leads. Then I get busy again.

Another thing which is much more exciting is that our house is finally on the market. We moved out in February and now it's October. I know what the heck. However, something called Covid did a number on the housing market. They are now showing our house under strict Covid guidelines.

So everybody please cross your fingers and say a wee prayer that some one buys our house soon so I can be less stressed.

Take care and keep safe :)

  1. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for a sale soon! Like you I've been doing a lot of putzing around in the branches of the family tree. Haven't gone the DNA route though, at least not yet.

    1. The DNA route has confirmed a lot of stuff. I'm really glad I decided to do it. However there are so many dead ends...no pun intended.

  2. Very glad to see you back. I was just wondering about you. And remember you only need one buyer!

  4. Good to see a post from you again! Praying that your house will sell soon. Did you move to a different city? I'm sure it is very difficult to be supporting 2 homes. Good luck with your search.....mine is up and down....Your "no pun intended" reminds me of our usual comment when someone asks us how our visit to the cemetery went....."nothing exciting happening....things are dead around there..."

  5. We moved into an apartment in the same city to be closer to my grandchildren and my brother. It was a great idea as we got rid of tons of stuff. It's shocking how much we still have left in a very large storage unit. We are looking for another house but not until spring :)

  7. Best wishes for the quick sale of your house. When we moved to CA we let my daughter move into our home in Indiana. We left a lot of stuff there for her to determine if she wanted it or if it could be sold. She is having great luck with that on FB Marketplace. The home remains in our name for good reason. Terry is always wondering what happened to stuff he thought he brought here.

    1. Well we got three offers on Sunday and took one and now the house is sold. The closing is in 3 weeks which is really amazing. Usually it's 30 to 60 days. I have to say that the real estate company we used were awesome. Now to just sit back and relax for the winter :)

If you leave a comment and I don't respond it's because I didn't get an email notice. It could be because you are a "no reply" blogger. Here is a way to fix that......http://morefromyourblog.com/no-reply-blogger-how-to-fix-this/
