My New Year's Resoultion.....

....is to downsize my stash....HA! HA! HA!

I thought the picture below was funny :)...but oh so true. It's so hard to let go of even the smallest scrap just in case you might need it for something. Then I look at my piles of fabric and I think if I've had it for 20 odd years and haven't used will I ever?

Thank you very much to the lovely people who have sent me emails asking me if I'm okay. Not to worry I'm still here.

It's just that I have so many WIP's that I don't know exactly where to start....so of course I have done nothing at all....sigh.

I even made a list of to-do's. Silly me.

Take care :)

  1. Oh so funny!! This is exactly where my mind goes when I get out fabric to choose for a project. I have decided to take the "What was I thinking" group and turn it into quilt blocks. It's gotta go one way or the other!!

Hey, I was wondering what that house across the street from you looks like? It it a good view? How are the new neighbors?

  3. Love the pic ! Exactly tells my story, too !!
I stopped adding anything got my 'to-do' list for sanity's sake !
Good luck getting back on board ... try writing about one of the WIP's and maybe that will jog your brain ... works for me often.

  4. So funny!! We can all relate to that picture I think. As for to-do lists - mine never ever gets to any state of 'to-done' because the minute I finish one thing I discover that I've already added three more. Oh well - at least I know I will never lack for inspiration! (glad you're back, btw. Missed you!)

  6. Oh, lovely fabrics. I have been trying to use up stash for two years now but somehow it keeps growing all on its own.

  8. Trouble is realistically I don't have a nother 20 yrs! Have gotten out some borcade silk to use. Last used some of it 6 yrs ago to make a five -sided box and it was nearly 40 yrs old then. Hugs Mrs A.

For some reason yet to be determined I do not get notification when you post a comment. I'm not ignoring you :)

The two houses across the street are almost complete. I would take a picture but it's too darn cold outside right now. I promise to post one soon.

  10. Does the original dolls skirt have a stiffener in it? Or at least a fusible? That might make it flare nicely but you don't have to copy that design of clothing exactly anyway?
Think I would prefer to make my own version of clothing ( mind you mine would likely become a bag lady not a smart and sassy gal!)
And although there have been odd days when I have felt head less myself .... oh the stresses of life! .... I reckonif your lass had her head on, youd probably have a lightbulb moment and her clothing would er - fall into place!

  11. Oh I so relate to that fabric stash photo. I was also wondering what happened to you during the last few months and am so glad to see a post here. Many have stopped using blogger and use FB.

I enjoy your doll posts and your doll WIPs. Maybe in the days ahead you will have a few ideas for those unfinished projects. Like you, I have several WIPs waiting to be move along.

If you leave a comment and I don't respond it's because I didn't get an email notice. It could be because you are a "no reply" blogger. Here is a way to fix that......http://morefromyourblog.com/no-reply-blogger-how-to-fix-this/
