I finally got it finished. It seemed like a never ending project. It's not what I expected to do at all. I was trying to work on the principal that less is best but I sort of forgot myself....LOL
It's a bit busy.
I like the hare and the tree but then it went downhill from there :)
I started to stress out that I wouldn't get it finished in time and of course as fate would have it.
I didn't. Ah well.
I have also learned a lesson too. The block I chose from Pintangle may not have been the best for a newbie like me.
It's a very pretty block, the colours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lovely block. I love the tree.
ReplyDeleteYay for you!! This is a great block and you have every reason to be proud of it. Of course I like the bunny and the tree, but I think my favourite part is that little row of flowers (above the bunny).
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! lovely piece with great balance. Looking forward to February's.
ReplyDeleteThe hare and the tree are very beautiful indeed, but so is everything else :) One of the things that makes CQ so appealing is that there is a lot going on and you have to really slow down and look carefully so you don't miss anything. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI think they are supposed to be busy. Looks good to me!
ReplyDeleteWell I think it looks lovely! Very fresh and spring like and there needs to be lots going on - it is a crazy block after all. Love it. xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks just fine to me, we newbies have to start somewhere and Id be thrilled if that were mine!
ReplyDeleteOh Mary Ann, this is a really beautiful block. Love the colours and the hare is perfect. lovely stitching.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a nice job! It's busy...but they are supposed to be, right?
ReplyDeleteI think it is beautiful Mary Ann! I see more and more the more I look at it. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteI am not a quilter but i think for a 'newbie' you have done an excellent job !
ReplyDeleteI think your block is adorable! I love trees and embroidered spider webs. Your stitching is lovely!
