WIP....

Under construction....an old UFO:)

My mantra this year is.... finish.... finish... finish...om...om....

Bodies

...and, bits.

They have been languishing in a box for some time waiting to be finished and dressed. There are ten of them...about 16 inches tall. They a very cuddly as they are made from a soft vintage fleece material that I wish I could get more of but alas I bought the end of the bolt.

I actually designed the mouse pattern about 30 years ago. It's very easy to make with a two piece torso. I realize now when I look at it that I was quite a talented pattern designer when I was younger:) My mum taught me. But, like everything else if you don't practice it you lose it.

I'm joining up with The Needle & Thread Network today......take a moment and go over and visit some very talented Canadians.

Take care:)

  1. Hi Mary Ann,

Happy New Year! I have a box of doll parts that look like yours too. I'm on a mission to get them done too. I have all of these images in my head of the dolls that they could be but I need to stop dreaming and start working:).

  2. Ah - finishing off! It seems to be my obsession each January. I am determined this year, however, that my compulsion to start on new things does not take over until at least half the PhD pile (projects half done) is dealt with. We'll see...God luck with yours.

  4. Wow what a great little pile to come across. I'm looking forward to seeing these complete. I've been hoping to make a start on my wips too or at least make stuff I have before I buy any more craft supplies. X

  11. Oh! I'm looking at the bodies and yes, that is an amazing design, to get all those curves and the roundness and everything. How lovely!
It's a pity about the fabric being unavailable. The mice look so soft and tactile.

  14. aackkkk bodies! and various body parts.....

yeh, ....me too..... sigh...... lots of my things are unfinished ...and I should either toss them, give them away to somebody who will finish...or just finish off some of them.... before I do one other thing! I'm a terrible procrastinator.....

If you leave a comment and I don't respond it's because I didn't get an email notice. It could be because you are a "no reply" blogger. Here is a way to fix that......http://morefromyourblog.com/no-reply-blogger-how-to-fix-this/
