What's it all about you say???????
Basically, I will be collecting all my thread, yarn and fiber ORT's from my stitching......and, all my scrappy fabric bits from my sewing that I would normally throw away and will be putting them into mason jars.......and then posting a picture of said mason jars every month on the full moon....see....a totally useless pursuit:)

A close up of a mason jar:) |
p.s. I googled to find out why these types of jars are called mason jars....well....they are named after John Landis Mason who invented and patented them in 1858........Wikipedia.
Take care:)
This is wonderfully silly LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI once saved several months of thread spools.Amazing the number I collected in that time.
That is certainly a new and interesting one. Tempted to join in - wouldn't be one of those things that you start enthusiastically and then run out of time to do properly either!

I'm doing the same, saving every little piece of fabric and floss...I have a huge box filled with them. My idea is to stuff one of those big cushions, where peolple sit down, that are called "puff", I don't know if you understand my strange English. Regards from Tenerife, Mimi
