I wonder how many of these examples are the result of a computer's spell- or grammar check. More often than not, I find that letters are mixed up or dropped from words by these automatic checks, for example, 'sin' instead of 'sing', 'hostility' instead of 'hospitality '. Queenie

Too true :) I was told that this list was about 25 years old. Whether that is true or not is hard to say.
