I want to thank everyone who sent me well wishes. I survived the surgery :)
What was supposed to be a simple procedure with a one night stay in hospital got a bit more complicated. I ended up with major surgery and I was in there for three days. I was on clear fluids the whole time. That was very hard when my roommate was eating lasagna, salmon and steak....sigh:(
Now I'm back at home with a four to six weeks recovery to look forward to. My doctor and the nurses were impressed at how fast I bounced back from the surgery. I was out of bed on the second day. I guess this old lady is a lot tougher than she looks....LOL
Take care:)
us ol' ladies are definitely tougher than we look. I'm starting to get offended when they look at my bag and ask if I need help!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I'm sorry things were more complicated than they thought. At least all is well now and you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteBe kind to yourself and don't push too quickly. It takes TIME to mend completely and there is no rushing your health no matter how old you are! Listen to your body and what it needs.
Make sure you take it easy and follow their instructions.
ReplyDeleteGosh I hadn’t seen your last post. My rss feed has a mind of its own at times. Sorry to hear that your surgery was more complicated than expected. Wishing you a uncomplicated recovery.
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of love Mary Ann. Bet little ol mousie was the first visitor.
