I've been very quiet lately as I've been busy doing family tree research. I usually like to sit outside and enjoy the weather but the weather hasn't been all that great and it's way too darn noisy.
The construction has been going on full tilt.
Before....
It's hard to see with the trees in the way and I didn't want to seem too
The road has been dug up for pipes and stuff and no one can walk on the sidewalk because of the mud. Right now it's quiet because it's early but when they get in full swing it's deafening.
My next door neighbour moved out on Monday. The good news it that they are not taking that house down right away. Someone will be living there for awhile. I'm not sure I like all this change:(
I've also been dealing with some medical issues. Nothing life threatening just inconvenient. I have to go in for surgery on the 28th and will have at least 4 to 6 weeks recovery to deal with.
Life goes on.
Take care:)
Yes, you have been very quiet lately and I'm so glad you've finally posted. I was wondering what happened to you. Change is difficult especially in a neighborhood where one lives and I can't even imagine the noisy construction. At least you kept yourself busy with family history which is such fun.
ReplyDeleteI've missed you and your delightful posts. I'm sorry to hear that you will need surgery but sure am glad it's not life threatening! Please take care of yourself and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Sorry to here you'll be having surgery. Please take every minute you need to heal and wishing you will heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteI hate those changes that go on in our neighborhoods. Ours has changed drastically since we moved here in '76. For the first time I am wishing I lived somewhere else.
Take good care
xx, Carol
Thank you Carol.....:) Any excuse to put my feet up is okay with me:)
ReplyDeleteOoops...I forgot to say. For some reason Carol your comments don't show up in my email. I always reply so if I miss one I'm sorry.
ReplyDeletesending hugs... and, I guess I should include some earplugs..... man, they are doing a number on the other side of the street aren't they? We live in a neighbourhood where it is happening every so often too... total changes in the houses... ours had a big reno, (along with all the smaller rents over the years) but is still our little bungalow....
ReplyDeleteSomething very odd happened when I first posted a comment so sorry if you get this twice!! Sending lots of love and best wishes for a speedy recovery from your op and I look forward to your future posts. xx

ReplyDeleteThree story house? Just the thought of all those stairs makes me feel tired. Give me a nice bungalow any day! So sorry you have such a ruckus going on around you. Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Take care of you!
ReplyDeleteMary Ann, hope that you are OK? Sending healing energy and positive thoughts that your surgery goes smoothly on the 28th. I don't know how you deal with all that noise and disruption, I'd be going quite mad by now :O( Hope that they get all the outside work completed soon so you can get some relative peace and quiet, maybe's it's time to join your neighbour and head for the sticks! Deb xo
ReplyDeleteUgh. What a mess. We have a neighbor who is gutting his house--he is living elsewhere. The street is lined with trucks and the start arriving at 6:00 a.m.....even on Weekends! I'm glad I don't live next door or we'd be having a little talk.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a successful surgery and recover quickly!
Good luck today ;)
ReplyDeleteRe: family research ... It takes a lot more than just spare time, doesn't it ?
