You know it's getting closer to winter when.......

....the butter stays hard in the butter dish........the cats sit on the heating vents.......

..........and I get a Flu shot.......OUCH!!!!!!!

My doctor is getting on in years and of late has developed a very noticeable palsy so it was with some trepidation that I watched in horror as his hands shook getting the flu dose out of the packaging and attached the needle and approached me....... all the while his hands were shaking and I knew in my heart of hearts it was really going to hurt.......and it did:(

My aching arm.  I can't lift it up with out being reminded.......ouch.

It's a very dark and gloomy day and suits my mood perfectly. The 24 hour forecast is for 30-40 mm of rain from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon......peachy.

On a positive note.........it isn't snowing:)

Take care.

  1. You could have saved your arm.... quite happily sent you a virus if you wanted one :-) Only had to ask :-) sniff, sniff, sniff, cough, splutter .... one of the very best one's too :-) Make sure you let the mouse take over your share of the sewing :-) X X X

  2. Ouch!! Last Winter, I was too ill at the time to have one (sinus infection). In Oz, we can ask for a nurse to give the injection.Nurses are the only ones who are good at injections!!
    Sorry you're feeling grumpy...
LOVE the look on your cat's face..LOVE cats!!!

  3. I'm with Judy--I think you have to either ask the nurse for the shot or go somewhere else. That sounds really painful!

My pally Grace tells her cat to "Hover, NOT cover" and the cat gets off the vent. It's hilarious. I think you have to teach your cat that trick too.

  4. Ouch indeed ..... as I don't like needles at the best of times, I think I would have found a reason to leave (a sudden urge to go to the toilet perhaps!!??)

If you leave a comment and I don't respond it's because I didn't get an email notice. I don't know why this happens and I apologize in advance as I love to hear from you:)
