I won a giveaway.....

I won the cutest bunny ever from dollmaker, Blogger .....The Sassy Pack Rat.....and Facebook friend Jennifer.  She is the most amazing artist and she makes all of her dolls and figures primarily by hand.

Take a look at the stitching on this adorable little bunny....perfect! He's about 7 inches tall counting his ears and he is so darn cute:)

A win.....

The Stitch Fiddler had a giveaway recently on her Halloween blog for three little bowl fillers.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the original winner didn't claim her prize. So the names were put in the hat again and this time I won:) They came in the mail this morning.

I love them...they are so darn cute. They have a sprig of Sweet Annie attached that smells so good.

Some news........and, a giveaway....

A short while ago I was very fortunate to win a giveaway from a lovely blog called Middle of Nowhere belonging to the wonderful Gretel Parker.

Gretel is a professional children's illustrator, toymaker and a wonderfully talented needle felter.  She is currently featured in a new book called Mollie Makes Feathered Friends. She had a giveaway for a copy of the book and I won:)

I received the book from the publisher yesterday:):):):):):)  So many lovely projects. I can't wait to try some of them out.

Another Giveaway Win.....

I mentioned a while back that I had won another blog giveaway and it arrived today!!!!!

It's from Alix who has a lovely blog called "Used-to-Bees". 

I love redwork embroidery and when I saw this giveaway I had to put my name down.


A lovely little pocket sized book full of simple easy motifs...very sweet:)

A French needlecraft magazine full of some absolutely gorgeous projects for cross stitch and embroidery......it has charts, patterns and even full size iron on transfers inside.

 

And, as an extra special surprise treat......the most adorable needle case made by the very talented Alix......it is so lovely:)

I Won A Giveaway.....

I was very lucky to win some lovely hand dyed threads from Lorraine Stobie over at Creative Daily,

I used my Ott-Lite to take a picture as it is bucketing rain here at the moment:)

I really couldn't get a good picture of the colour mixes....go over here...you can really see the lovely colours much better.

This was a very timely win as I'm just starting to learn how to do Crazy Quilting and I'm also taking a course with Sharon Boggon of Pintangle.com called "Sumptuous Surface Embroidery".

The thing is though.....they are so pretty so I may just look at them for awhile before I use them....LOL

I'm really having a lucky streak at the moment. I also won another lovely giveaway but I'll save that for another day:)

I Won A Giveaway:)

I'm a bit late blogging about this as I received my giveaway prize last Thursday but I was busy messing about with other stuff.

I was the last person to enter this giveaway at So September so you can imagine my surprise when I won.

Such a generous giveaway from Corinne...........three wooden embroidery hoops, a package of Thread Heaven, "The Fine Line" water erasable pen from Dritz, a lamenated pocket guide to embroidery stitches, eight skeins of DMC floss and two pieces of linen to get me started on a project with all of these goodies.

and, a 2013 calendar for my kitchen wall.......I think it's printed on Kona cotton. It's lovely anyway and there are directions on how to mount it to hang on the wall.

Corrine is a designer of lovely unique embroidery patterns that she sells online under her business name of September House. She often has free patterns that she offers on her blog too as well as helpful hints and tutorials.

I keep on saying that I'm going to try to get better at embroidery and learn much more about it so this giveaway was perfect.

The Donkey Has Landed.....

.....and just in time as we are supposed to be getting an Alberta Clipper.

When he arrived I gave him a big cup of tea in my favourite mug to revive him after his long journey.

One member of the household was a bit over enthusiastic about her welcome......she gave him a good sniffing.......poor donkey got head butted a few times:)

I told her to behave herself ......:)

Donkey is now safe and sound in my sewing room away from pushy moggies:)

Well I never........I just found out that I won the giveaway over at It's All About Me.

I love cross stitch and it's been awhile since I've done such a big project. TV is the pits at the moment so now I can listen to an audio book and stitch away.........bliss :)

Annie over at The Felt Fairy was giving away 22 sets of handles for purses and I was the lucky recipient of a pair....and, since she hosts the Monthly Make-it Challenge I will be making a new purse for one of my makes.

As some of you know, I belong to a monthly fabric club over at Sew Sisters....10 fat quarters per month for $18.99....and this months selection are retro spring and are a very nice match to my new handles:)

Hmmmm......sorry but the colours are a bit faded looking with the horrible light today. They are really pretty bright colours.  I really like the polka dot one. I might even visit the store and buy more for some curtains for my kitchen. It's a very pale cream colour with multi coloured dots....:)

I won something wonderful.....

I have been suffering with a dry hacking cough since Monday. I haven't had a decent night's sleep all week so needless to say I am not a very happy :(

I'm taking Buckley's cough medicine and sucking Fisherman's Friends...serious stuff here.....yuck:(

I was feeling very sorry for myself when the door bell rang today and my postie delivered a parcel. I knew I had won a giveaway but in my misery I had completely forgotten about it.

I opened the parcel and there was the most amazing thing inside......a corn husk doll made by Teresa at Enduring Traditions .....

OMG...I can't believe how beautiful this sweet little dolly is...and look at the basket she has full of harvest goodies:)

It really made me so happy that I'm feeling better.

I read this today......."March 1st is the 60th day of the year (61st in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 305 days remaining until the end of the year".......eeeek.......I better get busy!

I've was whinging awhile back about not being motivated to make anything but I think that's about to change. I received news yesterday that I have won a giveaway which is excellent. I can't tell you about it yet but, it is definitely doll related:):):):):)

Cloth Doll Artists is having a March-Blog-a-Thon and I thought I'd add my blog to the list.

I have no work in progress to show or anything to sell at the moment but what the heck.....:)
