My mantra this year is.... finish.... finish... finish...om...om....

...and, bits. |
I actually designed the mouse pattern about 30 years ago. It's very easy to make with a two piece torso. I realize now when I look at it that I was quite a talented pattern designer when I was younger:) My mum taught me. But, like everything else if you don't practice it you lose it.
I'm joining up with The Needle & Thread Network today......take a moment and go over and visit some very talented Canadians.
Take care:)
Hi Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I have a box of doll parts that look like yours too. I'm on a mission to get them done too. I have all of these images in my head of the dolls that they could be but I need to stop dreaming and start working:).

Ah - finishing off! It seems to be my obsession each January. I am determined this year, however, that my compulsion to start on new things does not take over until at least half the PhD pile (projects half done) is dealt with. We'll see...God luck with yours.

I just know I'm going to love your meeces to peeces. Can't wait to see
ReplyDeleteif they will be boys or girls!! Hugs Mrs A.
Wow what a great little pile to come across. I'm looking forward to seeing these complete. I've been hoping to make a start on my wips too or at least make stuff I have before I buy any more craft supplies. X
ReplyDeleteSeems to be the main goal of many bloggers this year to finish off those UFO's that are waiting around. Will be watching these little mice come to life:-)
ReplyDeletesuch potential in all those pieces! I am eager to see what they look like when done...
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing them finished.
Carol
Okay, don't keep us waiting too long on these....I wanna see them done!!
ReplyDeleteWhen does a WIP become a UFO? Good luck with all that finishing, I know you will do it.
ReplyDeletelol - my mantra this year, too. Those will be a whole pile of cute mice when you're done!
ReplyDeleteOh! I'm looking at the bodies and yes, that is an amazing design, to get all those curves and the roundness and everything. How lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity about the fabric being unavailable. The mice look so soft and tactile.
Looks like a scene from a Stephen King thriller with all those dismembered body parts lying around. :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhh...lol was laughing at Grandma Coco's comment...too funny!
ReplyDeleteYou are very busy there with your dolls.
aackkkk bodies! and various body parts.....
ReplyDeleteyeh, ....me too..... sigh...... lots of my things are unfinished ...and I should either toss them, give them away to somebody who will finish...or just finish off some of them.... before I do one other thing! I'm a terrible procrastinator.....
*hee* I love the bodyparts - so macabre and cute at the same time. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the finished mousies!
Happy New Year bouncy mousie. Ah, no, I don't think you ever lose the knack Mary Ann... you don't that's for sure.
